Commercial Activities

Yateley Industries has its own factory on-site, which employs at any one time circa 48 disabled people, at least 5 Occupation Day clients and 17 able-bodied support staff.

The factory is funded by both local and central government. Because of the funding streams we are able to compete on price and quality with mainstream outlets. The factory is operated on a commercial basis and our customers are gained through competition with mainstream providers. The work we do in our factory is in the fields of specialised packing, which includes machine shrink wrapping, including boxing and bar coding. We also undertake light assembly and hand packing work. Besides these activities we specialise in machine screen printing on fabrics and the production of fabric items themselves such as T-shirts, sweaters, etc. (Click to see details of Screen Printing.) blisterpack1

Biodiesel

To help Yateley Industries fuel costs, we have started producing biodiesel from old used cooking oil. For Yateley Industries to produce this biodiesel, we rely on organisations to donate their used cooking oil to us, and at the same time we can deliver new oil either vegetable oil or rapeseed oil. In the meantime, if you or if you know of anyone that wishes to dispose of their old cooking oil, please contact Sandra McLarry on 01252 872337. Unfortunately, we cannot   accept palm oil or hydrogenated oil.
